She slowly learned English from the other servants and developed an almost unhealthy love of serving other people (she's weird that way). After some years, the couple's son inherited the estate. She was terrified that the son would dismiss her and she would end up on the streets of England with nothing, but fate smiled on her. The son, having been a guest at Persephone Park many times, knew that Lady Kaynard was in need of a good handmaid. On his next trip to the park he brought Win with him and present the girl to Lady Kaynard as a gift. Win has no qualms with the arrangement and has come to like Persephone Park.
