THE BASICS: Write a Christmas/Holiday wish list. It can be any 10 wishes you'd like to have granted, no matter what they are. Possible or seemingly impossible. People look and grant the wishes if they can. It's not about "OMFG PRESENTS", it's about making someone else's holiday a little brighter by giving.

<sub>STEP ONE

** Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want. If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. In this case, you can always just note someone on dA.
** Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!


STEP TWO

** Surf around for other lists to see whose wish you can help out. If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.</sub>

My Christmas Wishes

1. The safety of my cousin, who just joined the armed forces. She won't be in combat but it is very likely she'll end up in Iraq. I know no one can hand her safety on a platter, but it's still my Christmas wish.

2. Commissions for . He's a greaat person and fantastic artist. And his commission are very low in price. I'd get a commission myself but college stole my money away D|

3. The success of the club I help with, namely ~Essen-Academy, rganizationdlv:, ~The-Alliance-Heros, & *Avatar-OC-club. I particularly would love for *Avatar-OC-club's OC Tournament to turn out well <3

4. The happiness of my dA Family. This includes but isn't limited to ~Setzer-Nara, ~Sirele, and ~zeivin.

5. Time! Glorious Time! (a cookie for anyone who gets the reference) I really really wish I could just get time in a box. I never have enough time to get everything done.

6. A tablet. I've wanted one for a long time now. If anyone has information on what brands/types work the best and which ones to stay way from, that would be greatly appreciated too.

7. Fanart of characters I know and love. They could be my own, my friends', or canon. I love Christmas/New Year's themed artwork as well.
Fandoms I love: South Park, Harry Potter, X-Files (MulderxScully), Avatar: The Last Airbender, Inuyasha, LOST, Heroes, Fringe, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Freakazoid, most nostalgic things (1980s & 1990s stuff)

8. Love. Not necessarily in the "I love you. Let's get married." kind of way. Neighborly/Brotherly love is good too. Just a simple comment saying "Merry Christmas" or a comment in my gallery would mean a lot. *is a sentimental sap*

9. Another dA subscription. I love subs. I really do xD

10. A new set of good quality watercolor and acrylics.

11. Bonus!: A critique of my progress here on dA. It doesn't have to long. I'd just love to know what people think of my artwork/gallery

New Project

Not much to report. College work is yuck. I'm beating off exams with a stick D:

Oh yeah, and swine flu is not helping. Sore throat for like 72+ hours, headache, fever, body aches, cough, fatigue, loss of appetite, respiratory issues and general flu-y grossness. Right now I have to quarantine myself in my dorm room. Quarantine is so lonely *sob*

And in case you're wondering why I'm up so late since I'm sick, I sleep all day and afternoon today. Quite frankly I'm sick of sleep >BU

<sub>Today was full of fail. First off I didn't ended up going to sleep into the wee hours of the morning. Not because I was doing something cool and amazing, but because I was doing tedious and stupid things. As soon as I crawled into bed and closed my eyes my roommate's alarm went off. After which I wrapped myself in a cocoon of blanket and prayed that she'd waked up and turn the confunded thing off. Not only did she wake up and turn it off, she turned on the light and started working on her laptop. Unfortunately I happen to be a person that needs dark and quiet to sleep -.-

Already Monday was looking sucky and the sun wasn't even up yet.

I had to get up early for Bio. Joy. I went to Chem lab lecture on the wrong day. More joy. English was ok. After class I went to work on my art project. It's due tomorrow and I don't feel too great about it. Then I ate and went to the library. On the bottom floor of the library closest to my dorm room there's a quiet studying room with a bunch of desks and tables. At sat at a desk and worked on stuff and for a while everything was fine. Then GIMP (the image editor I use) decided to start stalling while I was trying to save. Then as I was trying to be patient and see if it would save after a while, I opened up a bottle of Sprite, which erupted all over my clothes. A bottle of Sprite that was not shaken, but sprayed white foamyness all over the place (about half the bottle's contents).

*sigh* So guess who had to walk back to her dorm room with wet pants and coat.

And even though as I saved every few minutes as I working in GIMP, all the progress I made tonight is LOST. And not only that, the darn file won't open now. So I have to start ALL OVER FROM THE BEGINNING! D<

All this today plus the stress an approaching chemistry exam on Thursday, assignments that will be due soon, and an approaching bio exam as well. Oh! and the thing I was working on in GIMP is the *DeviantDead audition I've been slaving away at. Now I have to start the page I was working on all over again *eyetwitch*</sub>




New Project

I've got a new project for art class already. It's figure drawing complete with a skeleton and nude model. Hurray? *shrugs* Intro to Studio Practice (fancy talk for Art class) is my favorite class so I'm sure I'll be alright. I'm totally excited for the animals from the zoo that are being brought in for us to draw soon.

It's a tournament. *Stitch-Wicked and I have teamed up to audition for the tournament. Keep wishing us luck, ya? >w< I've seen the other entries, we're going to need it like woah.
