NYC, Online Tabletop RPG w/Stitch, and Stuff

Well hello everybody,

I confess I've been a bit dead for the past....forever. But I do believe that'll be changing, at least for the next 4 months.

Personal Junk/NYC


I'm now living in NYC! *flails happily*
I'll only be here until the beginning of May, but still. *more happy flailing*
I'm doing an internship with Little Airplane Productions, the company that does WonderPets and The Small Potatoes. I start on this coming Monday and I am super excited.

Other than that:

- I've gotten hooked on Dr. Who (Thanks a lot, Stitch xD)
- I've been doing pretty well with commissions
- I've been working on starting a comic series, both online and through my school's newspaper
- I watched 3 different Let's Plays of Telltale's Walking Dead game and now I thirst for season 2
- I started fencing
- I tried sushi for the first time
- And later today I'm taking the subway by myself for the first time. I am terrified.

Online Tabletop RPG w/Stitch


You guys remember :iconstitch-wicked:, right? He's alive, well, and planning on running Silvervine games. Silvervine is a really great game similar-ish to DnD that allows you to make just about any character you want. You want to make an elven kickboxer? Go right ahead. A 5 yr. old Dwarven princess? A-OK. A big, derpy, rollerblading necromancer? Hell yes you can.

In order to do these games we'll most likely be using dA chatroom and an online dice roller.

If I've managed to tickle your fancy even just a little bit, drop me a comment or note. Stitch hasn't got internet access at the moment, so messages you send to him might not reach him for a while. Feel free to ask questions!

COMMISSIONS


  • Commissions are OPEN.

    My commissions are very cheap in price but not quality. Around $2-$20 for most. I do paintings, drawings, sketches, sketch dumps, tutorials, etc. No gore, complicated machines, or creepy things but I do draw chibis, anthros, animals, reference sheets, and tons of other things.
    For more details, just ask~

    For the vast majority of things, I use my Paypal account. I may, however, accept a deviantArt subscription as payment for something small like sketchs<3 NO POINTS!

Dirt Cheap $2-10 Commissions

Right! So, $2-15 commissions!
I'm in a bit of a financial pinch (due to loaning some money that I have yet to get back) and I'm about $20 short of what I need to pay my phone bill.  If I can get just 4 $5 commissions that'd be a dream come true and it'd really help me out (I also have to worry about replacing my laptop). So! If you'd like a commission or know someone who does, I'd be more than happy to oblige. Just send me a note and we'll get the ball rollin'~

Please Note: $2 commissions will be simple things like an uncolored headshot or bust (the following information is just general stuff)


► My general commission system is as follows: ◄

1. We discuss your idea & a price
2.  I start drawing
3. I let you know that your commission is finished
4. You send the full payment to me via paypal
5. I post the finished commission
6. You may post the finished commission wherever you like and use it however you want as long as you give me credit as the artist

Please Note: If you are asking for a large commission (anything over $30 in price) I will ask that you pay half of the commission cost when I am half way through drawing the commission. I will let you know when I am halfway done and give you a preview, after which I will ask for half of the commission cost.

Oh, deviantArt, how I've missed you.
Some of you may have noticed a steep decline in the amount of activity and number of submissions I've made here. I still love deviantArt, I just fail at time management xD

Since I last posted a journal, I have survived midterm week, started participating in a couple of clubs, and attended my first gaming convention (Simcon). Midterm was bleh. The college clubs are awesome. And Simcon made me say the following "Why the hell did I wait this long to start gaming? This is so much fun!!". At the con I played a Supernatural game (The Last Will & Testament of Hezekiah Barnstable), a Marvel Saga game (Menace of the Mutant Master), a Violence game (Miserable Human Refuse), and a Space Adventure game (A Small Piece of the Sun). The first two were amazingly fun, the last two were OK. If I can I'll definitely go to Simcon again next year.


On Going Projects

We just reopened after a massive revamp. DLV is a great friendly club that blends together elements of Film Noir, the mafia, and Kingdom Hearts. It sounds weird but it's oodles of fun. Check it out. And remember we're only open for 3 more weeks!

    But I warn you. I am a college student and my schedule is notorious for massive homework dumps and exam weeks and all the jazz. My "real life" comes first, so please be aware that I may work a bit slowly. Also, don't feel guilty about poking me with a stick to get me to work faster xD

In an attempt to cut down on confusion, I (Hobbes) am posting this journal to answer potential questions about the new and improved Organization DLV. Some of these reference rules changes that have not yet been posted. Please be patient. The new journals will be up soon.





:halfliquid: Do I have to join all over again from scratch?

    ▶ In most cases, No. Whether or not you receive an official invitation, you need to review the new club rules and information before re-joining. You'll need to make sure your character is still "up to code" then you'll need to resubmit your application.



:halfliquid: It's March 16th and I have not received an invitation. How long will I have to wait until I can re-apply?

    ▶ Not very long. We are delighted that you are still interested, despite not getting an official invitation. We have not yet set a date to open applications, but it will be very very soon.



:halfliquid: Do I have to rejoin the same family/house?

    ▶ No. You are more than welcome to request a different family upon rejoining. Just remember, the final say on your house belongs to the bosses (more often than not, we will honor your request).



:halfliquid: What about my points?!?

    ▶ Don't worry. We kept all our records. Regardless of whether or not you received an invitation, all members that rejoin within 4 months, we be allowed to keep their points.



:halfliquid: What about my old submissions?!?

    ▶ For old contracts we will set up a specific folder. For character art, submit directly to the appropriate character art folder (when the club reopens). Our old point system did not give points for character art, however, the new system will give you points. So, make sure you submit to the right folder.



:halfliquid: What about my old submissions the use bases, gaia dolls, or things that are no longer allowed?

    ▶ Please do not resubmit them. We will not penalize you point-wise for old contracts and events, however we will not allow them in the gallery. We appreciate the effort, but no more. The submission rules have changed.



:halfliquid: I have a question that isn't covered above. What should I do?

    ▶ Please feel free to post a question in the comments section. For more personal matters, feel free to note the club.
